Vanilla Diplomat

METHOD
Use fresh buttercream, or rewhip cold buttercream by torching the outside of a stand mixer until light and fluffy.
Add cold vanilla pastry cream, and paddle on high just until incorporated, 5-10 seconds.
NOTES
The diplomat will break if over whipped.
If using in a cake, pipe buttercream around the edges to keep the diplomat in place.
This is a great whipped cream substitute.
If you want a filling that is richer and can hold its shape more when piping, use “vanilla pastry cream for cakes” recipe instead of “vanilla pastry cream”.
This does not rewhip well, so make only what you need.
This can freeze once assembled in cakes.
